Urho is a Finnish band that was founded in 1996 by Markku, Tomi, Satu and Pasi-Pekka Rossi. From the beginning the band decided to focus on composing and playing own music. Their music covers a variety of styles and one can hear influences from rock, blues, prog, jazz and even folk in their songs. Many songs have been co-created by jamming together, although more ready-made compositions are also accepted by the band members.
The band has recorded and published a few records under Kerpele Records: Urho -1999, Urho vol. 2 – 2000 (remastered 2010), Kotiin -2009, and Aikahyppy -2017. The band will release a brand new album Ajan lento in the summer 2026.
